PPC Čab celebrates 70 years: history, growth, and gratitude to all who contributed
The year 2025 is a special one for PPC Čab – our plant is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding. Seven decades of continuous production, technological progress, generational stories, and the work of thousands of people have created a company that has become an integral part of the region and a major player in the global market for porcelain insulators.
From the first Slovak porcelain factory to a modern plant with global reach
The plant was put into operation in 1955 as Prvá slovenská porcelánka (First Slovak Porcelain Factory) – the first company to manufacture electrical porcelain in Slovakia. It gradually gained the respect of the professional public and foreign partners.
The name Čab has become a symbol of reliability and quality, and our insulators are still exported to more than 80 countries around the world. The development of the plant was accompanied by modernization measures, technological innovations, and growth in production capacity, which ensured its competitiveness in the global environment.
Technological progress and product growth
Production at PPC Čab has evolved from traditional craftsmanship in porcelain to modern production technologies, more efficient kilns, and automated processes. Continuous improvement in quality, safety, and energy efficiency has accompanied the entire development of the plant. Today, we manufacture hundreds of types of high-voltage insulators in Čab that meet the most demanding requirements of the global energy industry.
70 years shaped by people
For generations, PPC Čab has been closely linked to Nitra, Čab, Novi Sad, and the surrounding communities. Many employees have spent their entire working lives here, while others are continuing a family tradition. This loyalty and responsible work have always been the basis of the company’s success – from its early years to the present day.
The present: a time of transformation and investment
Today, the plant is undergoing significant investment and dynamic growth. Equipment is being modernized, working conditions improved, capacities expanded, and teams strengthened. These steps ensure that PPC Čab remains a stable and promising employer as well as an important partner in the global energy sector.
Gala evening at the Andrej Bagar Theater
The celebrations culminated in a gala evening on November 28, 2025, at the Andrej Bagar Theater in Nitra. Guests were welcomed by a saxophonist, Nikolaj Nikitin, and the program included a performance by the Lúčnica artistic ensemble, an emotional song by Beáta Dubasová, and a musical performance by the Furmani z Nitry cimbalom band.
The atmosphere was complemented by festive decorations, excellent catering, and, above all, a pleasant meeting of current and former colleagues.
All participants felt truly special, proud of their history, and enthusiastic about the future that lies ahead for the plant. The evening was not only a celebration of the past, but also a confirmation of the strong community spirit that is typical of PPC Čab.
